Meet the Teachers

Ronald Washington Jr.

Born and raised on the east side of Cleveland,Ohio. I always enjoyed helping people and assisting people in meeting their dreams and goals.

Lanicka Shepherd-Masey

Lanicka Shepherd-Masey joined Career Prep Dayton in March of 2016 as the School Administrator. Prior to joining the Career Prep family, Lanicka served as the Assistant Principal at Dayton Business Technology High School for seven years.

Herb Lucas

“I was born in the Year 1957, in the City of Denver, of a good Family, tho’ not of that Country, my Father being a Foreigner of Enid, who settled first at Shawnee….” I come from a lineage of educators. “In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I’ve been turning over in my mind ever since….”

Clara-Denise Cobb

Clara-Denise Cobb is a proud native of Fairborn, OH. She has been in education since 2001. Clara-Denise has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a strong emphasis in biology and chemistry. She also has a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from Antioch College of McGregor.

Benita Robinson

As the enrollment Office Manager, Benita manages the daily office operations. She is the point of contact for prospective students and their families

Esther Seday

Esther Seday currently serves as Academic coach. Esther holds two master degrees with education leadership and earns a principal license from Concordia University Chicago. She has over 18 years’ experience as an educator.

Tom Jagels

Hello, I have been a staff member here in Dayton since we opened the doors. As the Student Pathway Advisor I work closely with the new students during their orientation and career assessments in their first few weeks.

Carolyn DeJacimo

Hi! My name is Ms Pillar. I have a secondary education degree in mathematics. I have been teaching for 15+ years at both the middle school and high school level.

Ryan Sagasser

Mr. Sagasser has been a teacher at Gem City for two years when it was formerly known as Life Skills High School of Dayton. He has two degrees from Wright State University. He enjoys fishing and golfing in his spare time. His favorite part of teaching is seeing students graduate!

Phillitia Charlton

Phillitia Charlton is a proud native of Dayton, OH. She has been in school administration for over 10 years. Phillitia has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Relations and a Master of Arts Degree in Project Management.
